Spectators: 8121 (Terracing: 6093, Seating: 1867, VIP seats: 161) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kurt Schimmel made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Xulian Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Seng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Wim Roye made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Seng. 1.FC Magdeburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Alfred Seng came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Baumminator's Wim Roye. But to his dismay, Wim Roye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 12 minutes into the game, Wilfried Kalnik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1.FC Magdeburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baumminator the free kick. Alfred Seng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Roye's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Wim Roye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wim Roye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1.FC Magdeburg's goalkeeper Alfred Seng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the 1.FC Magdeburg defense, Christoph Gläßel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Seng. The 1.FC Magdeburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Seng should have stopped the shot. Asrin Barenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Schimmel in the 22nd minute of the match. Wim Roye took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Seng. Alfred Seng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Roye in the 33rd minute of play forced 1.FC Magdeburg's goalkeeper Alfred Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in 1.FC Magdeburg's zone, Philipp Wieland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Seng came out of the goal and Philipp Wieland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wim Roye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, 1.FC Magdeburg's Slaven Hörster got a free kick in the 39th minute. Alfred Seng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Roye's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half Baumminator were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Baumminator's Friedemann Uebach was substituted for Xulian Salazar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wim Roye to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonhard Bloch struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Asrin Barenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Magdeburg. 60 minutes into the game, 1.FC Magdeburg's Leonhard Bloch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asrin Barenz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When Wim Roye came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Baumminator fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Roye couldn't finish the play. Baumminator's Wilhelm Bauer was substituted for Christoph Gläßel. Wilhelm Bauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wim Roye was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Baumminator's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the last second Alfred Seng throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wim Roye in the 72ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Roye in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Seng saved 1.FC Magdeburg from getting behind. In the 76thth minute of the game Kurt Schimmel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baumminator's Asrin Barenz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wim Roye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Seng having to interfere. Wim Roye hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match.
