After 4 minutes of play, Hamburg City Vampires's Filippo Di Martino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Franke was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Lew Rampp in the 8th minute of play forced Fortuna Dresden FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Franke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delf Engelmeier hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Filippo Di Martino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Franke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hamburg City Vampires's Filippo Di Martino in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benjamin Franke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lew Rampp went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Lew Rampp came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Hamburg City Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lew Rampp couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes, Balan Gonzáles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna Dresden FC and the Hamburg City Vampires players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fortuna Dresden FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Balan Gonzáles hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Ariel Bautista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benjamin Franke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filippo Di Martino took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Franke. Benjamin Franke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Mario Blöcker kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Fortuna Dresden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Bautista came free, but Benjamin Franke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Hamburg City Vampires's Filippo Di Martino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Franke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After the first half Hamburg City Vampires were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filippo Di Martino to make the kick off. Filippo Di Martino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benjamin Franke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Franke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lew Rampp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 56 minute of play. In the 59th minute, Filippo Di Martino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Franke was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Fortuna Dresden FC's Benjamin Franke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna Dresden FC from getting a goal against them. Benjamin Franke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Di Martino in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Ariel Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamburg City Vampires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortuna Dresden FC's Benjamin Franke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna Dresden FC from getting a goal against them. Silvano Blech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomáš Bacho in the 85th minute of play. Benjamin Franke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippo Di Martino in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Hamburg City Vampires's Filippo Di Martino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benjamin Franke. Benjamin Franke yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Silvano Blech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balan Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Hamburg City Vampires played a much better game than Fortuna Dresden FC and deserved their victory. The Fortuna Dresden FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
