With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomáš Bacho in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberth Haavig saved PAOK from getting behind. Alberth Haavig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faudel Houllier, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rocco Grassow's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Franke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 35th minute Faudel Houllier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberth Haavig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Rocco Grassow recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Franke.
