The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Harry Steffen came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Selm Bork fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Steffen couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Hoppenstedt in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Ohmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Markus Hoppenstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes Selm Bork got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Friz. Swen Rocker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gregor Barnett showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Lukas Friz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Harry Steffen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Swen Rocker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Keanu Wigenbusch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fritz Ohmer. Selm Bork's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keanu Wigenbusch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Tus Mützenich's Swen Rocker got control of the ball when Gregor Barnett tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tus Mützenich's Jan Dreibus got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Tus Mützenich booed when Selm Bork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochem Heyckendorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fritz Ohmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Hoppenstedt in the 31st minute of play. Fritz Ohmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Hoppenstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 38 played minutes Selm Bork got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Friz. After 40 played minutes Selm Bork got a freekick which was hit by Tom Seitz. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Steffen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fritz Ohmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keanu Wigenbusch in the 69th minute. Gregor Barnett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Swen Rocker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregor Barnett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Swen Rocker having to interfere. Fritz Ohmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Hoppenstedt in the 84th minute of play. Keanu Wigenbusch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Fritz Ohmer made a huge save. Keanu Wigenbusch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fritz Ohmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Hoppenstedt struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fritz Ohmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tus Mützenich. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
