Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hernan Ohrem got the match started through his kick off. Jörg Wengle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Ohrem, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Wüllenrath's Jörg Wengle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernando Raich in the 7th minute of play. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Markus Hofmeier sped through Tytus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jens Stübner. Akira Gänßle struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jörg Wengle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tytus. In the 21st minute, Pat Indenklef left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tytus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tytus's zone, Markus Hofmeier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens Stübner came out of the goal and Markus Hofmeier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Markus Hofmeier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jens Stübner was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jörg Wengle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Ohrem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremy Scheer scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörg Wengle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Wüllenrath's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Ohrem came free, but Jörg Wengle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wüllenrath defense, Akira Gänßle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jörg Wengle. The Wüllenrath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jörg Wengle should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Markus Hofmeier made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Tytus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Indenklef to maneuver through the defense. Markus Hofmeier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Davor Ammann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wüllenrath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. A hard shot by Klaus Dieter Schied from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Jörg Wengle's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tytus's Klaus Dieter Schied shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jörg Wengle but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Wüllenrath's Felix Hartwig got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tytus's Christof Engelmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Wüllenrath. Pat Indenklef's late challenge caught a Wüllenrath's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pat Indenklef helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Wüllenrath booed when Tytus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Indenklef didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes, Wüllenrath's Davor Ammann shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens Stübner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wüllenrath reached it. If Hernan Ohrem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernando Raich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörg Wengle having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Wüllenrath's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Ohrem came free, but Jörg Wengle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
