Egon Ulrich started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Högl's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph Orthaus came free, but Wilhelm Schüßler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Kornelius Schmorell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilhelm Schüßler. Högl's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kornelius Schmorell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wilhelm Schüßler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoph Orthaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Kirchberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Ulrich in the 15th minute of play. Egon Ulrich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Thomas Kirchberger made a huge save. Wilhelm Schüßler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kornelius Schmorell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Högl's Wilhelm Schüßler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kornelius Schmorell in the 20th minute of play. Wilhelm Schüßler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoph Orthaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Wilhelm Schüßler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kornelius Schmorell in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Egon Ulrich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heiko Leibinger kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Wilhelm Schüßler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kornelius Schmorell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. Högl were furious when Robert Ollert was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Högl:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Ameisenigel:s goal. Christoph Orthaus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilhelm Schüßler came out and tried to block the shot, but Christoph Orthaus slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 62nd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Christoph Orthaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ameisenigel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoph Orthaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilhelm Schüßler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kornelius Schmorell in the 84th minute. When Kornelius Schmorell fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ameisenigel's protests and gave Kornelius Schmorell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Kornelius Schmorell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilhelm Schüßler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kornelius Schmorell went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The Högl supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Ameisenigel's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Ameisenigel.
