Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Siberatsweiler's Jon Balter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tobias Guenther stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon Balter's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Hellmut Karrenbauer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Hermann Schmaltz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 6 played minutes Siberatsweiler got a freekick which was hit by Adalbert Mantel. Tobias Guenther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Balter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hellmut Karrenbauer in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermann Schmaltz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the game, Norman Neffin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hermann Schmaltz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Bothe kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jon Balter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Guenther having to interfere. Siberatsweiler's Jon Balter got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Siberatsweiler's Bozo Anbacher in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VFB Stuttgart's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Hellmut Karrenbauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Siberatsweiler's Hermann Schmaltz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tobias Guenther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalbert Mantel in the 42nd minute of play. Bozo Anbacher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Guenther having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Bothe during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, VFB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Bothe to maneuver through the defense. Adalbert Mantel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hellmut Karrenbauer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Bozo Anbacher fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Siberatsweiler's protests and gave Bozo Anbacher a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Bozo Anbacher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norman Neffin might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermann Schmaltz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norman Neffin ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Siberatsweiler booed when VFB Stuttgart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Bothe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, VFB Stuttgart's Walther Börnsen got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Siberatsweiler's Zlatko Kügler shot a high long ball. VFB Stuttgart's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. A hard shot by Derk Holldorf from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Tobias Guenther's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 68th minute, Hans Weiler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Bozo Anbacher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobias Guenther was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Norman Neffin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Balter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-2 became the score in the 82nd minute when Jon Balter elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Adalbert Mantel fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Siberatsweiler's protests and gave Adalbert Mantel a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Siberatsweiler got a freekick which was hit by Adalbert Mantel. 89 minutes into the game, Derk Holldorf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Siberatsweiler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VFB Stuttgart the free kick. The supporters of VFB Stuttgart booed when Siberatsweiler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derk Holldorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Guenther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Balter in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hellmut Karrenbauer in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermann Schmaltz saved Siberatsweiler from getting behind. The VFB Stuttgart supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Siberatsweiler's performance. The match ended with a win for Siberatsweiler.
