After a rather tough play, Iserlohner Heide FC's Hermann Felchle got a free kick in the 12th minute. Dennis Burch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rudolf Gerulat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Iserlohner Heide FC booed when Braunsfeld FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Ngnoubamdjum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johann Ebbengas short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got André Demel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rudolf Gerulat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iserlohner Heide FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Gerulat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henning Marx made a kick off. A well-hit corner resulted in Rio Krotz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
