Horst Söbbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Helmer in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute Karsten Helmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horst Söbbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kersch FC's Elmer Barzik managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Holger Rädle in the 9 minute of the game. In the 12th minute of the game Elmer Barzik made a throw-in which Ulrich Traband played forward. After a rather tough play, Altenmittlau's Thilo Nowak got a free kick in the 15th minute. Detlef Resch had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Falk Schmermbeck's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Altenmittlau's Karsten Helmer got a free kick in the 19th minute. Klaus Höfken made in the 23rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Karsten Helmer. Detlef Resch was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Ulrich Traband capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ulrich Traband really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Falk Schmermbeck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Detlef Resch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 58 minutes in the game Thilo Nowak did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ulrich Fiedeler. Ulrich Fiedeler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Horst Söbbe made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Falk Schmermbeck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kersch FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Altenmittlau's Detlef Resch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrich Traband in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Altenmittlau getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ralf Schlesinger hit a great ball. Detlef Resch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falk Schmermbeck in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Kersch FC were the better team. Kersch FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
