Miroslav Řičánek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Chesaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Jiří Rychtář put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miroslav Řičánek. When Osvald Mervart came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Pardubice Hurricanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvald Mervart couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pardubice Hurricanes had played much better football throughout.
