After 14 played minutes Ligerz FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Dillier. 16 minutes into the match, Lenk's Joerg Karlen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Buchmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Leonard Winiker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nino Gruenenfelder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenk's Nino Gruenenfelder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Marfurt in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joerg Karlen made a kick off. The supporters of Lenk booed when Ligerz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isai Kolb didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th match minute, Lenk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor Rossignol to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Ligerz FC's Volker Meyer to fire away a dangerous shot which Nino Gruenenfelder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Connor Rossignol fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lenk's protests and gave Connor Rossignol a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Lenk got a freekick which was hit by Connor Rossignol. In the 62nd minute, Leonard Winiker made a precise shot to the right of Nino Gruenenfelder. Lenk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 65 minutes into the match, Lenk's Joerg Karlen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Buchmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Winiker got free with Nino Gruenenfelder in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, Lenk's goalkeeper Nino Gruenenfelder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Winiker. During the 78th minute of the match Connor Rossignol completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Connor Rossignol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Connor Rossignol kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Dennis Marfurt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Leonard Winiker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isai Kolb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nino Gruenenfelder having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ligerz FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
