Reto Scherer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herald Cavegn in the 10th minute of the match. If Raimundo Decorvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odysseus Nef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of AS Breganzona booed when Henggart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florent Cinq-Mars didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, AS Breganzona's Greg Schmidlin got control of the ball when Raimundo Decorvet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Odysseus Nef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Arjan Trudeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AS Breganzona's Greg Schmidlin got control of the ball when Raimundo Decorvet tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rory Brandini succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Herald Cavegn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reto Scherer firmly grabbed it by the left post. AS Breganzona were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Henggart's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pietro Jung took the corner. Rory Brandini struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Reto Scherer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Breganzona.
