Jost Oehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltrame Schaller in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Schorta to make the kick off. If Neil Graf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvester Studhalter in the 56th minute of play forced Becher FC's goalkeeper Romain Müller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jost Oehen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Schorta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Peder Nietlisbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain Müller having to interfere. If Peder Nietlisbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Sylvester Studhalter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romain Müller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BENFICA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didier Eggimann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jost Oehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Schorta in the 89th minute of play. Didier Eggimann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Becher FC's Romain Müller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Graf in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Becher FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant BENFICA side.
