The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Bruce Arsenault notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Swissport AFC's Emanuele Buschor. Emanuele Buschor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 8 played minutes Swissport AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marius Schätzle. Emanuele Buschor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Arsenault in the 9th minute of play. Timothy Liniger came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Walton Gaillou could save by the left post. In the 18th play minute Vito Bossard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Walton Gaillou. 1-1. Swissport AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sam Uliassi in the 23rd minute. If Fermin Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Östen Svanér's late challenge caught a Axenstein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Svanér helped the player get up and apologised. Östen Svanér hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, Axenstein's Bruce Arsenault made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Buschor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ville Luotonen kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Clarence Iosif threw the ball into play from the sideline. Swissport AFC's Timothy Liniger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Olivier Bizier did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Walton Gaillou 36 minutes into the match. Olivier Bizier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Swissport AFC booed when Axenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clayton Leonz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Axenstein's Clayton Leonz got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olivier Bizier was the one to do the kick off. Olivier Bizier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Swissport AFC's zone, Bruce Arsenault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuele Buschor came out of the goal and Bruce Arsenault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walton Gaillou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olivier Bizier, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Malvin Estevis took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Emanuele Buschor to make any attempt to save it. After 77 minutes Axenstein's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sam Uliassi who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Axenstein's goalie and right to Kenan Padula. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Axenstein's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Zdzislaw Bryk kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Olivier Bizier came free, but Walton Gaillou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Swissport AFC's goalkeeper Emanuele Buschor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Arsenault. 95 minutes into the game, Axenstein's Bruce Arsenault nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuele Buschor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. The Axenstein players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
