With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochen Sueur in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans-Ruedi Filli saved FC Ämmebronx from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Andre Doucet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans-Ruedi Filli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ämmebronx's zone, Artur Freihofer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans-Ruedi Filli came out of the goal and Artur Freihofer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andre Doucet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Sueur in the 27th minute of play forced FC Ämmebronx's goalkeeper Hans-Ruedi Filli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentino Maina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Amstad in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of FC Ämmebronx booed when Lameiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Othello Desforges didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC Ämmebronx's Bruce Wermuth tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. FC Ämmebronx's Hans-Ruedi Filli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Freihofer in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Garrick Curti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans-Ruedi Filli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. John Nick kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After the first half Lameiro FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Amstad to make the kick off. FC Ämmebronx's Sammy Piller quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hans-Ruedi Filli came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Lameiro FC's Artur Freihofer. But to his dismay, Artur Freihofer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Artur Freihofer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Hans-Ruedi Filli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Lameiro FC booed when FC Ämmebronx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malwin Zumsteg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Artur Freihofer took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Hans-Ruedi Filli to make any attempt to save it. When Lameiro FC's Garrick Curti in 95 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Hans-Ruedi Filli guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Artur Freihofer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Lameiro FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the final whistle sounded Lameiro FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Ämmebronx.
