If Gereon Camiscia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Ignatius Küttel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Glarus's Leopoldo Zihler. Leopoldo Zihler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute, Quint Barbonetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, FC Glarus's LLoyd Stübi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc Brand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emilio Jeanneret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, LLoyd Stübi managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Glarus's supporters rose to their feet, but LLoyd Stübi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Brand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Schmidlin in the 24th minute of play forced FC Glarus's goalkeeper Leopoldo Zihler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Zihler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didier Bonenfant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mjöllnir's Marc Brand got control of the ball when Emilio Jeanneret tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Emilio Jeanneret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didier Bonenfant hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

54 minutes into the game, Emilio Jeanneret cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marc Brand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 57 minutes, Didier Bonenfant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mjöllnir and the FC Glarus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Didier Bonenfant hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. FC Glarus's Simjon Gruenigen got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quentin Schmidlin took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Zihler. Leopoldo Zihler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Marc Brand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Uttiger in the 65th minute of play. If LLoyd Stübi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Brand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simjon Gruenigen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, FC Glarus's goal looked a bit too open when Didier Bonenfant came free, but Leopoldo Zihler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Jeff Hunziker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Zihler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didier Bonenfant, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Emilio Jeanneret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Brand having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Emilio Jeanneret left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Glarus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 90 minutes into the match, Mjöllnir's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Jeanneret came free, but Marc Brand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mjöllnir getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Quentin Schmidlin hit a great ball. Marc Brand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Jeanneret in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Glarus lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
