Jeffrey Schaerlaekens came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by KSV Diksmuide's Regis Raeymakers. But to his dismay, Regis Raeymakers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Regis Raeymakers didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 12th minute. KSV Diksmuide's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! With a little luck, KFC Schepdaal's Jeffrey Schaerlaekens got control of the ball when Regis Raeymakers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Rompen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Schaerlaekens having to interfere. With a little luck, KFC Schepdaal's Jeffrey Schaerlaekens got control of the ball when Regis Raeymakers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Regis Raeymakers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Jeffrey Schaerlaekens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 33rd minute Regis Raeymakers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Schaerlaekens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 37 in the game by Regis Raeymakers from a close distance when the talented Jeffrey Schaerlaekens managed to make a qualified save. KFC Schepdaal's players were relieved. 39 minutes into the match, KSV Diksmuide's goal looked a bit too open when Constantijn Vandamme came free, but Norbert Terhorst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Regis Raeymakers's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeffrey Schaerlaekens firmly grabbed it by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Regis Raeymakers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Van Der Taelen got free with Norbert Terhorst in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, KFC Schepdaal's Norbert Terhorst threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tony De Meesemaeckere, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Regis Raeymakers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Schaerlaekens having to interfere. In the 79th minute Regis Raeymakers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Schaerlaekens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, KSV Diksmuide's goalkeeper Norbert Terhorst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Van Der Taelen. Jeffrey Schaerlaekens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis Raeymakers in the 86th minute of the match. The KSV Diksmuide fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when KSV Diksmuide's Marcus Rompen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcus Rompen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Schaerlaekens having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the KFC Schepdaal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KSV Diksmuide.
