Regis La Rose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Bellinkx having to interfere. Karl Bellinkx made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Luuk Coremans sent off a good shot on target. After 10 played minutes KSV Hooglede got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Van den Haute. Joppe Kloots's late challenge caught a KSV Hooglede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joppe Kloots helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KFC Beerzel! The referee gave KSV Hooglede a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thobias Impens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KFC Beerzel's Matthieu De Munck. 0-1. If Ken Declerck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Hooglede's zone, Luuk Coremans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Bellinkx came out of the goal and Luuk Coremans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KSV Hooglede getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Charly Dobbeleir hit a great ball. Karl Bellinkx was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Regis La Rose capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Regis La Rose really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Regis La Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Karl Bellinkx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tibau Du Sausois to strike the kick off in the second half. KFC Beerzel's Matthieu De Munck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibau Du Sausois in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Declerck in the 58th minute of play forced KFC Beerzel's goalkeeper Matthieu De Munck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, KFC Beerzel's Luka Van Cruchten got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 67th minute, Tibau Du Sausois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken Declerck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tibau Du Sausois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Ken Declerck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KSV Hooglede's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Declerck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When KSV Hooglede's Tibau Du Sausois in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luuk Coremans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Bellinkx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Karl Bellinkx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luuk Coremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Beerzel's goalkeeper Matthieu De Munck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tibau Du Sausois was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. KSV Hooglede's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ken Declerck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
