The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 23rd minute, one of Sparta Ad Fundum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sparta Ad Fundum. Mohammed Al Besher shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A collision led to Sparta Ad Fundum getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pierre-Paul Steckens hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Madolo Mandla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sparta Ad Fundum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lukaku Brothers the free kick. A collision led to Sparta Ad Fundum getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Madolo Mandla hit a great ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sparta Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Shamp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godfried Machiels kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Kent Van Balen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pieter-Maarten Shamp. Sparta Ad Fundum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Van Balen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthimos Pallis got free with Pieter-Maarten Shamp in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Anthimos Pallis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Sparta Ad Fundum's Pieter-Maarten Shamp. Pieter-Maarten Shamp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anthimos Pallis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pieter-Maarten Shamp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Van Balen in the 88th minute of play forced Sparta Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Shamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
