Joppe Hylen hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Thibau Reiniers's late challenge caught a KVSK Herstappe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thibau Reiniers helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Jannes De Geutter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvain Huybreghts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Van Gestel having to interfere. Arsene De Weijngaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johny Van Geertruyen in the 34th minute of play. KVSK Herstappe's Didier Van Gestel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvain Huybreghts in the 39th minute of play. Jaques Van Der Linden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, RSC Havay's Jaques Van Der Linden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Didier Van Gestel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Didier Van Gestel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Jaques Van Der Linden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RSC Havay fully deserved thier win.
