In the 7th minute, Isidoor Damman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Huyghebaert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Arthur-Maurits Vincke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Vrints saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Michael Alaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tellin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Alaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. George Vrints showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur-Maurits Vincke in the 16th minute of the match. Arthur-Maurits Vincke might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Vrints. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur-Maurits Vincke ran back to his position shaking his head. George Vrints showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur-Maurits Vincke, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Isidoor Damman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Sergio Huyghebaert made a huge save. Sergio Huyghebaert didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. George Vrints took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Samyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Matias Van Arschot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Michael Alaerts made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, one of Evergem:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sergio Huyghebaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Van Arschot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Matias Van Arschot elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 72 minutes, Michael Alaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Michael Alaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Vrints was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Alaerts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 88 minute of play. Arthur-Maurits Vincke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of George Vrints when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Tellin players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Evergem from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
