Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Niki Focquier kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Ivan Lanphant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjorn Raeymakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Anderlecht's Ivan Lanphant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bjorn Raeymakers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jozef Theys came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by KAA Vlijtingen's Leopold Van Huele. But to his dismay, Leopold Van Huele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 21st minute, KAA Vlijtingen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kurt Van Den Brande fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 22nd match minute, KAA Vlijtingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo De Peuter to maneuver through the defense. Harald Verdonck struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Bjorn Raeymakers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anderlecht. 32 minutes into the match, KAA Vlijtingen's goalkeeper Bjorn Raeymakers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Lanphant. The supporters of KAA Vlijtingen booed when Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Van Arschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Niki Focquier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Vlijtingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niki Focquier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Anderlecht players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KAA Vlijtingen were winning 0-1.

After a rather tough play, KAA Vlijtingen's Jacob Kindts got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Anthoon Vos fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anderlecht's protests and gave Anthoon Vos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KAA Vlijtingen booed when Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthoon Vos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Leopold Van Huele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jozef Theys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurus van Hacht hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Bjorn Raeymakers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Dewolf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael La Rose kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, KAA Vlijtingen's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lanphant came free, but Bjorn Raeymakers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Erik Dewolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harald Verdonck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjorn Raeymakers having to interfere. KAA Vlijtingen's Bjorn Raeymakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Lanphant in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KAA Vlijtingen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
