Guust Van Huele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charl Weijnandts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. With a little luck, La Furia Roja's Charl Weijnandts got control of the ball when Guust Van Huele tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience held their breath when Berten De Wortelaer in the 22nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Charl Weijnandts's left hand side. Lars Tombeur hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Guust Van Huele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charl Weijnandts having to interfere. If Dries vrolijx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dries vrolijx came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the La poste FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dries vrolijx couldn't finish the play. When Bryan Steurms fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Furia Roja's protests and gave Bryan Steurms a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Furia Roja's Bryan Steurms got a free kick in the 30th minute. Guust Van Huele struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Charl Weijnandts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La poste FC. 33 minutes into the match, La Furia Roja's goal looked a bit too open when Guust Van Huele came free, but Charl Weijnandts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Guust Van Huele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th match minute, La Furia Roja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Colebrandts to maneuver through the defense. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Sergio Van Hallebeeck kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Charl Weijnandts never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. A hard shot 43 in the game by Guust Van Huele from a close distance when the talented Charl Weijnandts managed to make a qualified save. La Furia Roja's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guust Van Huele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sergio Van Hallebeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Guust Van Huele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charl Weijnandts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Christian Engelborghs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guust Van Huele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Engelborghs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charl Weijnandts came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by La poste FC's Guust Van Huele. But to his dismay, Guust Van Huele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tommy Standaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Charl Weijnandts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Van Hallebeeck took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charl Weijnandts. Charl Weijnandts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of La poste FC booed when La Furia Roja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tran Haentjens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guust Van Huele in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charl Weijnandts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sergio Van Hallebeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charl Weijnandts having to interfere. If Guust Van Huele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Tran Haentjens notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of La poste FC's Jaques Cempeners. Jaques Cempeners was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tran Haentjens struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jaques Cempeners didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Furia Roja. La Furia Roja's Charl Weijnandts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guust Van Huele in the 92nd minute of play. Bill Clinckspoor succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. La poste FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
