Spectators: 7346 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 100) Benedict Diericx made the kick off and thus started the match. Poortershoek's Dante Van Huele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boudewijn Goddez in the 3rd minute of play. FC Elst's Andy De Roest got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Poortershoek's goal looked a bit too open when Boudewijn Goddez came free, but Dante Van Huele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Poortershoek got a freekick which was hit by Bas Raeymakers. After 20 minutes, Sean Van De Beeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poortershoek and the FC Elst players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sean Van De Beeck hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Dante Van Huele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boudewijn Goddez's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, FC Elst's Andy De Roest got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Luukas De Hertoghe scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Reijnders, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Van Huele was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ward Smeulders showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, FC Elst's Cornelis Uijtterhoven nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Van Huele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A hard shot 46 in the game by Boudewijn Goddez from a close distance when the talented Dante Van Huele managed to make a qualified save. Poortershoek's players were relieved.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boudewijn Goddez to strike the kick off in the second half. Dante Van Huele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudewijn Goddez in the 53rd minute of the match. After 62 minutes, Patrick Pastijns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Elst and the Poortershoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patrick Pastijns hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Benedict Diericx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Boudewijn Goddez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Van Huele was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Cornelis Uijtterhoven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dante Van Huele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy De Roest took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Van Huele. Dante Van Huele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After 83rd play minutes Boudewijn Goddez shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Dante Van Huele and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Ward Smeulders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Elst's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ward Smeulders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Boudewijn Goddez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Van Huele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Van Huele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boudewijn Goddez in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the FC Elst players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
