Willy Wyns took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinaert Callewaert. Reinaert Callewaert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Herk-de-Stad 's goalkeeper Cornelis Van Crickinghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Frans. Emanuel Frans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelis Van Crickinghe having to interfere. Emanuel Frans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cornelis Van Crickinghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Noordhofwijk got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Dekkers. In the 30th minute of the match Goffrey Van Laer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reinaert Callewaert skillfully saved the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Noordhofwijk's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Hemeleers came free, but Reinaert Callewaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herk-de-Stad 's Cornelis Van Crickinghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Herk-de-Stad from getting a goal against them. Cornelis Van Crickinghe was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Dyllen Flocquier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cornelis Van Crickinghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dyllen Flocquier in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robbie Hemeleers was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Noordhofwijk's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Hemeleers came free, but Reinaert Callewaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willy Wyns got free with Reinaert Callewaert in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnauld van Haecht kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Cornelis Van Crickinghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Frans in the 79th minute of play. If Henri-Patrick Uijterhoven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Emanuel Frans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91stth minute of the game Dyllen Flocquier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herk-de-Stad 's Cornelis Van Crickinghe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Frans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herk-de-Stad 's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
