Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luukas Jacobs in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dany De Poorter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 33 played minutes Beveren got a freekick which was hit by Davy Demarrez. In the 36th minute of the match VC Pittem got a corner. Beveren's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Dany De Poorter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Beveren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC Pittem the free kick. After 45 played minutes Beveren got a freekick which was hit by Davy Demarrez. Beveren's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sergio Clijsters in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind VC Pittem's goalkeeper Brain De Schepper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by VC Pittem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sergio Clijsters was slow to take the kick. During this time Beveren's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Sergio Clijsters almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VC Pittem's Brain De Schepper did a great save. Tommas Van der Weijden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brain De Schepper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Tommas Van der Weijden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joeri Du Bois struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Brain De Schepper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beveren. 87 minutes into the match, Beveren's goalkeeper Dany De Poorter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luukas Jacobs. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Joeri Du Bois managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beveren's supporters rose to their feet, but Joeri Du Bois was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brain De Schepper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brain De Schepper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joeri Du Bois's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
