Victor Hairpoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andris Smeulders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Deswarte in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Perry Postens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. F.C. Stuiven's Victor Hairpoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanny Wuyts in the 15th minute of play. When Andris Smeulders came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Lommel SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andris Smeulders couldn't finish the play. Giovanny Wuyts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hairpoel having to interfere. If Giovanny Wuyts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes F.C. Stuiven got a freekick which was hit by Cornelis De Maret. 29 minutes into the game, Vicente Deswarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Stuiven's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lommel SK the free kick. Vicente Deswarte hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Giovanny Wuyts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lommel SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanny Wuyts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Hairpoel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Giovanny Wuyts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Vicente Deswarte could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Perry Postens however easily saved by the left post. In the 38th minute, F.C. Stuiven's Wilfried Van Den Driessche dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 41st minute, Nickolas Uyttebroeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giovanny Wuyts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lommel SK! When Vicente Deswarte came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the F.C. Stuiven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Deswarte couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Stuiven's goalkeeper Victor Hairpoel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giovanny Wuyts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Victor Hairpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanny Wuyts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hairpoel having to interfere. Nickolas Uyttebroeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Postens having to interfere. Wilfried Van Den Driessche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Perry Postens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vicente Deswarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F.C. Stuiven booed when Lommel SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arend Rosseels didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vicente Deswarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Wilfried Van Den Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Postens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lommel SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. Stuiven.
