The referee ignored Moerdijk's protests and gave Albertus Smidts a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Moerdijk getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in Moerdijk's zone, Emile Steckens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Meersman came out of the goal and Emile Steckens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernard Vandenbosch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Thielens in the 18th minute. Kim Thielens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Vandenbosch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Inano United's Bernard Vandenbosch got control of the ball when Kim Thielens tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kim Thielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richy Bosmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Vandenbosch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 31 minutes, Geoffrey Van Heerle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inano United and the Moerdijk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Richy Bosmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bernard Vandenbosch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute of the match Joachim Oosters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernard Vandenbosch skillfully saved the ball. After 59 minutes, Matijs Worteleers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moerdijk and the Inano United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kim Thielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Meersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile Steckens in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Kim Thielens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moerdijk's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Thielens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Vandenbosch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Richy Bosmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kim Thielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roel Van Hoeij could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jim Meersman made a huge save. Bernard Vandenbosch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richy Bosmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Moerdijk's goalkeeper Jim Meersman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roel Van Hoeij. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moerdijk fully deserved thier win.
