Wilfried Van Den Driessche struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Henrik Claessens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Stuiven. In the 16thth minute of the game Wilfried Van Den Driessche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Geenske's Henrik Claessens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bobby Schol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hairpoel having to interfere. Jo Van Turnhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Victor Hairpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daevy Vrints hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Vicente Deswarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, FC Geenske's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Van Den Driessche came free, but Henrik Claessens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfried Van Den Driessche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Wilfried Van Den Driessche managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Stuiven's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Van Den Driessche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Claessens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for F.C. Stuiven. Mattheo Van De Wijngaert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Henrik Claessens. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfried Van Den Driessche was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Deswarte got free with Henrik Claessens in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Geenske getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Herve Verdeyen hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Wilfried Van Den Driessche fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the FC Geenske defense, Vicente Deswarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrik Claessens. The FC Geenske fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrik Claessens should have stopped the shot. Jo Van Turnhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Victor Hairpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jo Van Turnhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Bobby Schol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Hairpoel. F.C. Stuiven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bobby Schol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 83rd minute, Bobby Schol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Wilfried Van Den Driessche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Claessens. FC Geenske's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfried Van Den Driessche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 94th minute, Corneel De Raedemaeker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Geenske fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. The F.C. Stuiven players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
