When Gunther Dobbelaere fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSC Verrewinkel's protests and gave Gunther Dobbelaere a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, RSC Verrewinkel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Dobbelaere to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Kim Thielens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Huijbrechs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Moerdijk got a freekick which was hit by Matijs Worteleers. After having played for 68 minutes, Gunther Dobbelaere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ewout Kerkhove couldn't finish the play. Gunther Dobbelaere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Meersman having to make a save. Gunther Dobbelaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jim Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wayne Huijbrechs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Thielens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
