Mathijs Vanooteghem might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Hairpoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathijs Vanooteghem ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute Mathijs Vanooteghem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Hairpoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfried Van Den Driessche took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robbe Emeleers. Robbe Emeleers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Wilfried Van Den Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbe Emeleers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Josef Van Brusselen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfried Van Den Driessche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Robbe Emeleers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, F.C. Stuiven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olliver Acke to maneuver through the defense. Mathijs Vanooteghem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hairpoel having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Wim Rymenans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harold Van Gestel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Victor Hairpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Mathijs Vanooteghem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RSC Bredene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathijs Vanooteghem to make the kick off. Wim Rymenans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Victor Hairpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, F.C. Stuiven's goal looked a bit too open when Mathijs Vanooteghem came free, but Victor Hairpoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Wim Rymenans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Hairpoel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathijs Vanooteghem went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the game, Mathijs Vanooteghem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Bredene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Stuiven the free kick. Mathijs Vanooteghem hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Victor Hairpoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathijs Vanooteghem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Josef Van Brusselen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes, Mattheo Van De Wijngaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Stuiven and the RSC Bredene players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in F.C. Stuiven fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute, Mathijs Vanooteghem made a precise shot to the right of Victor Hairpoel. F.C. Stuiven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Wilfried Van Den Driessche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbe Emeleers having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. RSC Bredene had played much better football throughout.
