Bernard Vandenbosch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nickolas Uyttebroeck in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile Steckens in the 7th minute of play forced F.C. Stuiven's goalkeeper Victor Hairpoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emile Steckens scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Hairpoel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. F.C. Stuiven's Victor Hairpoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roel Van Hoeij in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Wilfried Van Den Driessche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Stuiven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfried Van Den Driessche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Stuiven's Victor Hairpoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roel Van Hoeij in the 22nd minute of play. Victor Hairpoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roel Van Hoeij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim van Bedts charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim van Bedts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Van Den Driessche in the 31st minute of play forced Inano United's goalkeeper Bernard Vandenbosch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Inano United's Geoffrey Van Heerle got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Deswarte got free with Bernard Vandenbosch in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilfried Van Den Driessche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfried Van Den Driessche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernard Vandenbosch having to make a save. In the 46thth minute of the game Wilfried Van Den Driessche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inano United's Bernard Vandenbosch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfried Van Den Driessche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emile Steckens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hairpoel having to interfere. A collision led to F.C. Stuiven getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Daevy Vrints hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes Inano United got a freekick which was hit by Geordy Vervaeck. F.C. Stuiven's Vicente Deswarte got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Renzo Wigers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inano United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Stuiven the free kick. After 61 played minutes Inano United got a freekick which was hit by Renzo Wigers. 64 minutes into the match, Inano United's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Van Den Driessche came free, but Bernard Vandenbosch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Wilfried Van Den Driessche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Stuiven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfried Van Den Driessche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Stuiven's Victor Hairpoel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Stuiven from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Emile Steckens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victor Hairpoel. That made the score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. Roel Van Hoeij could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Victor Hairpoel made a huge save. With a little luck, F.C. Stuiven's Victor Hairpoel got control of the ball when Roel Van Hoeij tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Inano United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Inano United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
