Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Richy Bosmans got the match started through his kick off. 9 minutes into the game, Mathijs Vanooteghem lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jim Meersman. In the 16th minute Kim Thielens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbe Emeleers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RSC Bredene's Mathijs Vanooteghem got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richy Bosmans in the 19th minute of play forced RSC Bredene's goalkeeper Robbe Emeleers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RSC Bredene's Robbe Emeleers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Thielens in the 40th minute of play. Richy Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbe Emeleers having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Kim Thielens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moerdijk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

The wind increased when Mathijs Vanooteghem made the kick off in the second half. RSC Bredene's Mathijs Vanooteghem got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robbe Emeleers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richy Bosmans in the 62nd minute of play. Wim Rymenans took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jim Meersman. Jim Meersman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 74 minutes, Josef Van Brusselen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Bredene and the Moerdijk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes RSC Bredene got a freekick which was hit by Josef Van Brusselen. Jim Meersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Van Brusselen in the 83rd minute of the match. If Kim Thielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Moerdijk's Kim Thielens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robbe Emeleers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After 95 minutes of play, RSC Bredene's Wim Rymenans made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Meersman was left in no man's land by his defense there! RSC Bredene's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
