Fernand de Pelsmaker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manu Van Beneden having to make a save. In the 13thth minute of the game Pierre-Olivier Degryse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bl's Manu Van Beneden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Matteo De Clerk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matteo De Clerk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matteo De Clerk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Billie Van der Roost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bl defense, Fernand de Pelsmaker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manu Van Beneden. The Bl fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manu Van Beneden should have stopped the shot. Fernand de Pelsmaker might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manu Van Beneden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernand de Pelsmaker ran back to his position shaking his head. Pierre-Olivier Degryse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. De Fenix boys's Fernand de Pelsmaker got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manu Van Beneden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pierre-Olivier Degryse came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the De Fenix boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre-Olivier Degryse couldn't finish the play. After 40th play minutes Pierre-Olivier Degryse shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Manu Van Beneden and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, De Fenix boys's Kieth Coopmans got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre-Olivier Degryse was the one to do the kick off. Manu Van Beneden made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Fernand de Pelsmaker sent off a good shot on target. Pierre-Olivier Degryse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bl getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Floris Imbrechts hit a great ball. Manu Van Beneden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Fernand de Pelsmaker could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Manu Van Beneden however easily saved by the left post. Fernand de Pelsmaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Manu Van Beneden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Bl's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Olivier Degryse came free, but Manu Van Beneden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierre-Olivier Degryse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manu Van Beneden having to interfere. If Pierre-Olivier Degryse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Ruud Helsen suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Augustijn De Loose charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustijn De Loose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pierre-Olivier Degryse's late challenge caught a Bl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre-Olivier Degryse helped the player get up and apologised. Pierre-Olivier Degryse hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Diederik Van Maestricht fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Fenix boys's protests and gave Diederik Van Maestricht a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Diederik Van Maestricht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billie Van der Roost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matteo De Clerk's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Augustijn Wautiers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Fenix boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bl the free kick. Augustijn Wautiers hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Bl's corner Benoit Wuttemans fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Billie Van der Roost quite easily take care of the ball. If Fernand de Pelsmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bl fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. De Fenix boys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
