After 8 played minutes, FC smokers's Quentin Struyf shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olliver Van Deijck came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC smokers reached it. Olliver Van Deijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges Baert, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Olliver Van Deijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar Van Leemputten in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georges Baert in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olliver Van Deijck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC Schaatsertje's zone, Georges Baert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olliver Van Deijck came out of the goal and Georges Baert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC smokers's Luke Dauwe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brecht Sulems in the 21st minute of play. Jaspar Van Leemputten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olliver Van Deijck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georges Baert's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jaspar Van Leemputten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC smokers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaspar Van Leemputten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olliver Van Deijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Jaspar Van Leemputten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olliver Van Deijck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Jerry de Pelsmacker came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the FC smokers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry de Pelsmacker couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Samuel De Wortelaers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luke Dauwe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jaspar Van Leemputten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC smokers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaspar Van Leemputten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olliver Van Deijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, FC smokers's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht Sulems came free, but Luke Dauwe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Georges Baert to strike the kick off in the second half. Olliver Van Deijck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georges Baert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Dauwe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht Sulems, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th match minute, FC Schaatsertje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbe Hofnagels to maneuver through the defense. Jaspar Van Leemputten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olliver Van Deijck firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Georges Baert came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC smokers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georges Baert couldn't finish the play. Samuel De Wortelaers might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luke Dauwe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel De Wortelaers ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaspar Van Leemputten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Olliver Van Deijck made a huge save. If Samuel De Wortelaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Schaatsertje's goalkeeper Olliver Van Deijck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Baert in the 85th minute of play forced FC Schaatsertje's goalkeeper Olliver Van Deijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Brecht Sulems made a precise shot to the right of Luke Dauwe. FC smokers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 92nd match minute, FC Schaatsertje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Vissenaekers to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Tommy Van Hespen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 94th minute, when FC smokers's Quentin Struyf after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Olliver Van Deijck in FC Schaatsertje's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. FC Schaatsertje's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
