Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind KSV Brecht's goalkeeper Jerry Pardaens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bernt Devaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerry Pardaens was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Abel Van der Veeren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSV Brecht fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 27th minute of the match Walter Van Gestel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerry Pardaens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 31 minutes, Rens Van de cauter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KSV Brecht and the VC Denderleeuw players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VC Denderleeuw booed when KSV Brecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rens Van de cauter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Brecht's zone, Bernt Devaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Pardaens came out of the goal and Bernt Devaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. VC Denderleeuw's Bernt Devaux got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KSV Brecht's Jerry Pardaens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Pelsers in the 38th minute of play. KSV Brecht's Abel Van der Veeren got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, KSV Brecht's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Pelsers came free, but Jerry Pardaens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre De Keijsere made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Abel Van der Veeren sent off a good shot on target. If Gery Verheecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gery Verheecke was the one to do the kick off. Alexandre De Keijsere came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by KSV Brecht's Abel Van der Veeren. But to his dismay, Abel Van der Veeren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Abel Van der Veeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alexandre De Keijsere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Bernt Devaux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Brecht's Jerry Pardaens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute, Gery Verheecke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herman Pelsers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jerry Pardaens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abel Van der Veeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herman Pelsers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Jerry Pardaens made a huge save. If Bernt Devaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to KSV Brecht getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Luuk Verbeeck hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Herman Pelsers notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of KSV Brecht's Jerry Pardaens. Jerry Pardaens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, KSV Brecht's Jerry Pardaens got control of the ball when Herman Pelsers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Simon Nelis's late challenge caught a VC Denderleeuw's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Simon Nelis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Jan-Simon Nelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VC Denderleeuw's Herman Pelsers got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Herman Pelsers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Robbrecht Hoes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the VC Denderleeuw players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KSV Brecht.
