When Henry Calewaerts fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fort Huntington's protests and gave Henry Calewaerts a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Calewaerts in the 14th minute of play forced KFC Aalbeke Sport's goalkeeper Ahmet Boran Beykan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KFC Aalbeke Sport fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when KFC Aalbeke Sport's Iordache Stroie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Iordache Stroie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles-Louis Pardons was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, Fort Huntington's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Stroie came free, but Charles-Louis Pardons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of KFC Aalbeke Sport booed when Fort Huntington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dreas Conincx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanny Valckenaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Charles-Louis Pardons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, KFC Aalbeke Sport's Iordache Stroie made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles-Louis Pardons was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iordache Stroie to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Henri Willems hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovanny Valckenaers scored 3-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles-Louis Pardons, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the KFC Aalbeke Sport defense, Henri Willems kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Boran Beykan. The KFC Aalbeke Sport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Boran Beykan should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 4-5 when Giovanny Valckenaers sped through Fort Huntington's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charles-Louis Pardons. 65 minutes into the match, Fort Huntington's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Stroie came free, but Charles-Louis Pardons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Iordache Stroie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fort Huntington's Charles-Louis Pardons was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Iordache Stroie took a quick shot and it went in 4-6 without a chance for Charles-Louis Pardons to make any attempt to save it. Ahmet Boran Beykan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henri Willems, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Giovanny Valckenaers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Charles-Louis Pardons made a huge save. KFC Aalbeke Sport's Iordache Stroie got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KFC Aalbeke Sport played a much better game than Fort Huntington and deserved their victory. The Fort Huntington players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
