In the 3rd match minute, AFC De Haan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Vincke to maneuver through the defense. Luka United's Geert De Vreese shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacky Massenhove but with some difficulty. 7 minutes into the match, Constant Stessel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Luka United's Thomas-Jan Delen. Thomas-Jan Delen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stein Toeback's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacky Massenhove read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Conrad Wauters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacky Massenhove made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andries Van Linthaudt in the 19th minute. Thomas-Jan Delen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constant Stessel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When AFC De Haan's Marco Vereect in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. AFC De Haan's supporters rose to their feet, but Constant Stessel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas-Jan Delen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Vereect in the 35th minute of play forced Luka United's goalkeeper Thomas-Jan Delen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrad Wauters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacky Massenhove having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AFC De Haan's Denis Van Bombergen got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andries Van Linthaudt got free with Jacky Massenhove in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constant Stessel in the 45th minute of play forced Luka United's goalkeeper Thomas-Jan Delen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrad Wauters scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacky Massenhove, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Luka United's Andries Van Linthaudt suffered a concussion in the 75th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Hosselaer during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Luka United. Geert De Vreese stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacky Massenhove. 2-1. 87 minutes into the match, AFC De Haan's goal looked a bit too open when Conrad Wauters came free, but Jacky Massenhove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Conrad Wauters came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Luka United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrad Wauters couldn't finish the play. Conrad Wauters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC De Haan's goalkeeper Jacky Massenhove, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AFC De Haan's Bobby Cuveliers got a free kick in the 100th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the AFC De Haan players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Luka United.
