Lou Van Leempoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Rosbach in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of FC. Pikolas booed when Petegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Bernardts didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lou Van Leempoel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Bernardts's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Lou Van Leempoel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Bernardts, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Petegem's Alex Rosbach made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lou Van Leempoel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Bernardts struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lou Van Leempoel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petegem. Alex Rosbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Van Leempoel having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, FC. Pikolas's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rosbach came free, but Lou Van Leempoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 63rd minute, Lucas Bernardts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petegem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Julien Gebuers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Degens in the 67th minute of play. Julien Gebuers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etienne van Bedts in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Bernardts got free with Lou Van Leempoel in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lou Van Leempoel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Bernardts in the 93rd minute. Lou Van Leempoel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Bernardts went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.
