In the 4th minute, Frits Moerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, KAA Werbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Frits Moerman came free, but Maarten Sterks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilles Struijf charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilles Struijf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jordi Dujardin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maarten Sterks firmly grabbed it by the left post. Regis Libreghts might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dyllen Symons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Regis Libreghts ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Grootaerts in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dyllen Symons saved Patro Maasmechelen from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Patro Maasmechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Regis Libreghts came free, but Dyllen Symons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Regis Libreghts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dyllen Symons having to make a save. Regis Libreghts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominik Audenaert during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dominik Audenaert hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Patro Maasmechelen's Dyllen Symons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Regis Libreghts in the 35th minute of play. If Anton Grootaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Regis Libreghts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dyllen Symons was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Anton Grootaerts's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Dyllen Symons skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. KAA Werbeek's Anton Grootaerts was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Frits Moerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maarten Sterks was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Regis Libreghts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dyllen Symons. The goal made the score 0-3. If Regis Libreghts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Regis Libreghts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dyllen Symons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis Libreghts in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Patro Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Dyllen Symons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Grootaerts. In the 80thth minute of the game Frits Moerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KAA Werbeek's Maarten Sterks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maarten Sterks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Dujardin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Patro Maasmechelen's Georges Verduin got a free kick in the 86th minute. Dyllen Symons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis Libreghts in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th play minute Anton Grootaerts came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dyllen Symons. 0-4. Regis Libreghts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dyllen Symons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 94 in the game by Anton Grootaerts from a close distance when the talented Dyllen Symons managed to make a qualified save. Patro Maasmechelen's players were relieved.
