After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Steve Dejonckheere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westergem's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Dejonckheere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Louis Philippaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Steve Dejonckheere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Louis Philippaerts was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. RSCA 4-ever's Jean-Louis Philippaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Jespers in the 14th minute of play. Steve Dejonckheere charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steve Dejonckheere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Peter Van Eede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waut Van Landeghem having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Westergem got a freekick which was hit by Gust Van Den Eynde. Manuel Van der Sande's late challenge caught a RSCA 4-ever's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. RSCA 4-ever's Mathias Vercalsteren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Westergem. Philip Van Buyten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thommy De Ketelaere hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes of play, Westergem's Karl Jespers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean-Louis Philippaerts was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Peter Van Eede dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waut Van Landeghem, 1-1. Lorenzo Van Acker's late challenge caught a RSCA 4-ever's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Van Acker helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Westergem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RSCA 4-ever:s goal. When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, RSCA 4-ever's Mathias Vercalsteren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Waut Van Landeghem. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Peter Van Eede made the kick off in the second half. Jean-Louis Philippaerts made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Steve Dejonckheere sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the game, Matias Gyselinx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSCA 4-ever's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westergem the free kick. Matias Gyselinx hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes RSCA 4-ever got a freekick which was hit by Thommy De Ketelaere. Westergem's Karl Jespers got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand De Marrez in the 65th minute of play forced Westergem's goalkeeper Waut Van Landeghem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Westergem's zone, Armand De Marrez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waut Van Landeghem came out of the goal and Armand De Marrez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Karl Jespers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute Andy Nelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Landeghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RSCA 4-ever were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Westergem for a fine match.
