Wambeke's Kim Naessens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Wambeke from getting a goal against them. Wambeke's Kim Naessens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin De Weerdt in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of KFC Dessel Sport booed when Wambeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Deroek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achilles Lijsens in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matteo Schamp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matteo Schamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achilles Lijsens in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Wambeke got a freekick which was hit by Matthy Heremans. KFC Dessel Sport's Kevin De Weerdt got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kim Naessens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin De Weerdt, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Matteo Schamp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Achilles Lijsens went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Achilles Lijsens to make the kick off. KFC Dessel Sport's Matteo Schamp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Dessel Sport from getting a goal against them. Achilles Lijsens hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin De Weerdt in the 64th minute of play forced Wambeke's goalkeeper Kim Naessens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matteo Schamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antoine Coveliers in the 66th minute. Kevin De Weerdt struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Kim Naessens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Dessel Sport. In the 80thth minute of the game Achilles Lijsens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Dessel Sport's Matteo Schamp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin De Weerdt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Naessens having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Cederik Jonckheere mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambeke and the KFC Dessel Sport players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Cederik Jonckheere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wambeke's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
