Spectators: 7445 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 50) In the 5th minute Arsene Luijten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastien Van Aerschodt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Arsene Luijten dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastien Van Aerschodt, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Lenny Vrolijcx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastien Van Aerschodt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsene Luijten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Arsene Luijten elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Billy Deconynck's late challenge caught a Vinkwijk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Deconynck helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AFC Burgmolen's Billy Deconynck got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Vinkwijk booed when AFC Burgmolen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Swinnen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastien Van Aerschodt made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Glenn Neesens sent off a good shot on target. Peter Jans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geert Verhengen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Sebastien Van Aerschodt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsene Luijten, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 48 minutes into the match, Vinkwijk's Glenn Neesens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastien Van Aerschodt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Jans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arthur Dheedene in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Geert Verhengen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Werner Fierens charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Werner Fierens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Eric Swinnen fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Burgmolen's protests and gave Eric Swinnen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFC Burgmolen's Eric Swinnen got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sebastien Van Aerschodt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Neesens in the 58th minute of the match. Arthur Dheedene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Geert Verhengen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Dheedene got free with Geert Verhengen in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66thth minute of the game Anthonio Lannoye who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Burgmolen's Sebastien Van Aerschodt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peter Jans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Geert Verhengen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vinkwijk getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Geert-Jan Gendre hit a great ball. Geert Verhengen stood somewhat misplaced when Arthur Dheedene came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 70 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as AFC Burgmolen's Peter Jans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geert Verhengen. That made the score 2-2 after 73 minutes of play. 77 minutes into the game, Glenn Neesens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Sebastien Van Aerschodt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Jans in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert Verhengen saved Vinkwijk from getting behind. Glenn Neesens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to AFC Burgmolen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Billy Deconynck hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Burgmolen's zone, Glenn Neesens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastien Van Aerschodt came out of the goal and Glenn Neesens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vinkwijk had won after a very even match.
