After a defensive mix-up in PACS Wackerseel's zone, Edgard Justus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Maes came out of the goal and Edgard Justus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roni Roosendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederic Raeimakers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roni Roosendael's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Hans Maes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Wilmots in the 23rd minute of the match. Andrew Wilmots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Maes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. But to his dismay, Edgard Justus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. PACS Wackerseel's Hans Maes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rajmond Valkeneers in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Andrew Wilmots made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Edgard Justus managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Bautersem's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Justus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Maes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frederic Raeimakers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo De Brouwer in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Edgard Justus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Maes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KAA Bautersem's Frederic Raeimakers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save KAA Bautersem from getting a goal against them. Theo De Brouwer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Frederic Raeimakers made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Theo De Brouwer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederic Raeimakers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Andrew Wilmots put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hans Maes. 74 minutes into the game, Andrew Wilmots cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hans Maes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Edgard Justus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Maes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janes Lambrechs kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to KAA Bautersem getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Edgard Justus hit a great ball. If Andrew Wilmots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
