Chaos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobby Van Goethem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Wespelaar getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Oliver Smet hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Rolf Lijsens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Humbelets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Chaos's goal looked a bit too open when Timy Maerschalks came free, but Christian Humbelets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wespelaar's Waut Van der Vorst got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ryan Henderickx was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Philippe Blomme hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Chaos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph De Roost to maneuver through the defense. Christian Humbelets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Lijsens in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rolf Lijsens made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Rolf Lijsens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wespelaar's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Lijsens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Humbelets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Wespelaar's Rolf Lijsens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Humbelets narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Humbelets was left in no man's land by his defense there! Timy Maerschalks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Christian Humbelets made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Lijsens in the 76th minute of play forced Chaos's goalkeeper Christian Humbelets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Lijsens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Humbelets having to interfere. Rolf Lijsens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolf Lijsens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Humbelets came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolf Lijsens slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 87th minute. Rolf Lijsens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Christian Humbelets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
