Harold Vloebergh came out and tried to block the shot, but Timy Marant slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Football Club Liege fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Toverhoek a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bart-Jan Wijngaerts, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Football Club Liege's Harold Vloebergh. 2-0. Harrie Abrams could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Harold Vloebergh made a huge save. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Football Club Liege's goalkeeper Harold Vloebergh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Football Club Liege's Harold Vloebergh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Football Club Liege from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Football Club Liege's goalkeeper Harold Vloebergh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harrie Abrams. Harold Vloebergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timy Marant in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Football Club Liege's zone, Timy Marant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Vloebergh came out of the goal and Timy Marant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timy Marant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harrie Abrams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold Vloebergh having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Toverhoek's Timy Marant in the 34th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Harold Vloebergh was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Football Club Liege through an amazing save. Harold Vloebergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timy Marant in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes in the game, Harrie Abrams fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Harold Vloebergh having to interfere. Louis-Philippe Struijf charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis-Philippe Struijf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Louis-Philippe Struijf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Football Club Liege defense, Billie Montens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harold Vloebergh. The Football Club Liege fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harold Vloebergh should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timy Marant was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timy Marant in the 59th minute of play forced Football Club Liege's goalkeeper Harold Vloebergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Timy Marant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harold Vloebergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrie Abrams in the 67th minute of the match. Harold Vloebergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harrie Abrams in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Football Club Liege's zone, Harrie Abrams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harold Vloebergh came out of the goal and Harrie Abrams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis-Philippe Struijf got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Harold Vloebergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harrie Abrams in the 80th minute of the match. Ruud Schols hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Harold Vloebergh came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Toverhoek's Harrie Abrams. But to his dismay, Harrie Abrams quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Billie Montens struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Harold Vloebergh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toverhoek. Toverhoek's Harrie Abrams got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Harrie Abrams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Toverhoek had played much better football throughout.
