Phillipe De Witte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rens Van Der Weghen having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Stef Van Eyck managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Bucquoi's supporters rose to their feet, but Stef Van Eyck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastien Van Parijs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes, Teun De Ridder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Gottignies and the AFC Bucquoi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastien Van Parijs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marnix Vercruysse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marnix Vercruysse to make the kick off. Richmond Ourogge's late challenge caught a RSC Gottignies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richmond Ourogge helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, AFC Bucquoi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richmond Ourogge to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. RSC Gottignies had won after a very even match.
