Willy van Eycken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diedrik Engelbert having to make a save. pipoignons's Mateo Vanhove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny De Worteler in the 24th minute of play. If Johny Van Gestelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Vanhove was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Dieter Baeten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dieter Baeten really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Diedrik Engelbert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johny Van Gestelt in the 36th minute of the match. Dieter Baeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieter Baeten took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Vanhove. Mateo Vanhove dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 45 played minutes Club Wetteren got a freekick which was hit by Emile Reniers. Thibaud De Weijgaert scored 2-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diedrik Engelbert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Willy van Eycken had several of the Club Wetteren's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Diedrik Engelbert as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 65th minute Willy van Eycken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diedrik Engelbert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johny Van Gestelt in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diedrik Engelbert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Club Wetteren's Diedrik Engelbert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Wetteren from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, pipoignons's goal looked a bit too open when Dieter Baeten came free, but Mateo Vanhove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibaud De Weijgaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Diedrik Engelbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of pipoignons booed when Club Wetteren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieter Baeten didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the pipoignons defense, Dieter Baeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateo Vanhove. The pipoignons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateo Vanhove should have stopped the shot. Diedrik Engelbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thibaud De Weijgaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Despite being the better team, pipoignons failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
