Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen kicked off to start the match. Maurice Van Mechelen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Henri-Patrick Milters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul-Louis Van Mechelen went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Roni Van Hoyveldt was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Harry Teurfs capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Teurfs really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Tuur Candries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Paul-Louis Van Mechelen notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fritt united's Henri-Patrick Milters. Henri-Patrick Milters was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute Tuur Candries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick Milters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Goons was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Terry Van Houdtvinck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YR Mechelen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fritt united the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Terry Van Houdtvinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tuur Candries scored 2-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henri-Patrick Milters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurice Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Alexandre Van Hamme came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Fritt united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Van Hamme couldn't finish the play. Roni Van Hoyveldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Goons in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Miguel Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Goons came free, but Roni Van Hoyveldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paul-Louis Van Mechelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The YR Mechelen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
