The throw-in from Boris Simons in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Buitre SC's Tjorven Ingelborgs. Antonio Vermeulen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi Vuerinx in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, Buitre SC's Rudi Vuerinx made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Vermeulen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rudi Vuerinx struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Antonio Vermeulen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitre SC. Antonio Vermeulen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tjorven Ingelborgs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play, Buitre SC's Rudi Vuerinx made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Vermeulen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evert Goddez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Christiaan Walder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Buitre SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Guillaume Tombuer fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Montzen's protests and gave Guillaume Tombuer a yellow card for diving instead. Matias De Pauw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Vermeulen having to interfere. Christiaan Walder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bastiaan Callens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joonatan Stuijckens, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Buitre SC's Nico Laureijs suffered a concussion after 87 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terry Reniers during the 87th minute. Matthieu Van den Paenhuysen missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 90 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Antonio Vermeulen right hand side. 91 minutes into the match, SC Montzen's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias de Pelsmaecker came free, but Antonio Vermeulen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Montzen's Olivier Coomans got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Rudi Vuerinx struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
